Gcobani Nzonda

Gcobani Nzonda has a MSc degree in Environmental Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a BSc Honours in GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Fort Hare. He is a research intern at the SAEON Arid Lands Node, working on the following tasks: Refine the current Panveld Region (PR) classification models (capture and clean raw data from various databases); Develop a user friendly, reliable spatial database and GIS maps for the PR Network and share information with stakeholders and learners; Provide node support by assisting with field work, administrative duties and science education outreach activities.
