Vegetation Dynamics – the Tomlinson Project

SAEON has resampled over two hundred and twenty historic vegetation plots in the Cathedral Peak region over different land tenure or management types. This has begun to inform us as how much vegetation composition and structure has changed. These changes are expected to have cascading consequences for local land use and earth system processes. We have written about the effects of different fire regimes on vegetation composition and diversity and in upcoming research we are establishing the effects of land tenure on vegetation composition and diversity over time. Check out the e-news articles for more information.
