Laura Danga

Internal Liaison

My name is Laura Danga and I am currently pursuing my PhD studies at the Water Institute with the University of Pretoria.  I am conducting research on wetland governance in South Africa; with a special emphasis on long-term drivers, impacts and possible solutions for conservation and wise-use.  Previously, I completed an MSc in Water Resources Management and specialised on wetlands as Socio-ecological Systems. I am also affiliated with the Business& Biodiversity Responsible Leadership Programme at the University and my research interests include sustainability, Corporate Environmental Responsibility, Socio-ecological Systems and Water Governance.  I am self-motivated and passionate about research. My goal in life is to be a principled, hard-working and purposeful individual; working towards a career in long-term environmental research. I enjoy travelling, trailing, and swimming
