Dr. Shane Elipot

Dr. Shane Elipot is an associate scientist in the Ocean Sciences research department of the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, in Miami, Florida.  Before joining the University of Miami, Dr. Elipot obtained his PhD in physical oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, conducted research at the NOAA/Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory in Miami, and worked at the National Oceanography Centre in Liverpool, UK. Dr. Elipot's research interests include Lagrangian oceanic observations, dynamics of atmosphere-ocean interactions, oceanic energy pathways, observations and dynamics of the meridional overturning circulation or MOC, the Agulhas Current System, time series and covariance analyses of oceanographic data.
